Terms#
Effective 2026-08-21. Plain-English operating terms. Code Infinity (Pty) Ltd is completing formal terms of service with counsel; in the meantime this is what you are agreeing to when you use Click Guide.
If anything here conflicts with the formal terms when they land, the formal terms govern. By using Click Guide you accept that the language may tighten before the formal document is signed, and that continued use after the formal terms are published constitutes acceptance of them.
The service#
Click Guide is a hosted software service that lets you record product walkthroughs, upload help documentation, and embed a launcher on your own web application so your users can ask questions and be walked through tasks. The service is provided by Code Infinity (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa ("we", "us").
Your account#
You need an account to author guides and manage keys. Sign-in is by email link. Every action on the account carries the acting member's email into an audit trail visible to your organization's administrators.
Only the person signing up is initially bound as an administrator; teammates you invite carry the role you chose, and each role's permissions are listed in the console.
Your content#
You retain all rights to the documentation you upload and the guides you record. You grant us the licence needed to store, process, and serve them back to your end users when they use the launcher on your product. That licence ends when you delete the content or when your organization is deleted (see Privacy).
You are responsible for the content you upload. That includes not uploading anything you do not have the right to distribute, and not uploading content that would embarrass or harm your end users.
What we do not do with your content#
- We do not train models on your content. Full stop.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your content with anyone other than the processors named in Privacy.
- We do not use your content to answer questions asked in a different tenant. Tenant isolation is enforced at the storage layer.
Fair use#
Click Guide runs on modest infrastructure. Rate limits are documented in the console and in the API responses (HTTP 429 with a JSON body naming the limit). Persistent attempts to exceed those limits, run load tests without telling us, or use the service in a manner clearly designed to consume resources beyond what a real user would generate, can result in your account being throttled or suspended.
Automated abuse (credential stuffing, scraping other tenants' content, attempts to exploit vulnerabilities beyond good-faith security research) is grounds for immediate suspension and, where applicable, reporting.
Availability#
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. When something breaks, we say so on our operational channels; we do not currently publish a formal SLA. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by South African law.
Billing#
The free tier exists as documented. Paid tiers, when live, are billed via PayFast. Refunds for a paid tier follow PayFast's standard policy plus whatever we say explicitly on the plan page.
Ending the relationship#
You can delete an application, a source, or a guide at any time from the console. Deletion of the whole organization is not self-serve today; email privacy@clickguide.co.za and we complete it within seven business days.
We can suspend an account we reasonably believe is in breach of these terms or is being used to harm third parties. We tell the account's owner why before we do it wherever possible.
Governing law#
These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa. Disputes go to a South African court of competent jurisdiction.
